The thing that really bugged me about Anchorage were the lights. I worked there in December, 1994, so there should have been a lot of darkness. Trouble is, the town is full of those glaring yellow streetlights, and if the citizens of Anchorage were afraid of it getting dark at night. The lights aren't so bad in the summertime, but the lights on the winter snow makes a horrible glare, like a prison at night.
