Hedy West was one of my early inspirations. I met her in the folk club in Swansea in the sixties, and played her beautiful banjo. Her singing and frailing were totally masterful, and I bought an LP "Old Times And Hard Times" which I still listen to. I've always hoped she'd reappear in the old time world, but alas she won't now. Very sad.
