How can I send her some of the desire
I have for her sweet smile? How can I lift
Concern out from her dreams? Hopes do not tire,
But heart wants to no further from dreams drift.
How can I stay so far, wanting to hold
Her in my arms? Should I not try to reach
To her, to more than just my dreams enfold?
Is there reason I should not love beseech?
How can I seize the source of dreams, and show
The passions thought of her gives heart? I fear
She does not need my care: How can I know
How longings in my heart to her appear?
I want her happiness more than my own
Desires: Has verse truly hopes ever shown?
