Mindblaster - I was a voracious reader of the music press at the time and I worked in a rather large record store. As a Clapton fan - and since the Allman Brothers were a local band to us - I read everything about them I could find. If it was "widely reported" that Jeff Beck played on the Dominos record I'm pretty durn sure I would have seen it. I'm still unconvinced. I will attempt to remain open minded however.
