Goodby Hedy.

I knew Hedy about 35 years ago in Berkeley when she was a young woman -- with a beautiful face and beautiful voice and a joyful presence. In the early 70s I organized (in Glastonbury, CT) a benefit concert for her father, Don West, who lived and worked in Pipestem, West Virginia. Jean Redpath, Michael Cooney, Marshal Dodge and David Jones sang and told stories. That concert is one of my most treasured folk music memories.

I wish I had known her better in more recent years.
