G'day Greg,
I gather that BBC programs are now available from their web site ... ? I would like to get my old friend Ron Edwards to listen to these. Ron is one of the most prolific Australian collectors .... with a strong Torres Strait interest, since he lives in the tropical Cairns area, which has a strong TI element.
Ron has done a lot of work getting recordings of older traditional singers back to their modern communities and families to keep the songs alive - and this sounds like it might have new tips to old material that deserves to get back to the communities.
