Azzizi has asked for it to stop, so I shall.

But you had to take just one more shot first, eh Kat? "For the record." What record are you trying to preserve, exactly, the Gospel according to Kat? Now there's a real peacemaker among us, folks, and out of her sickbed, too!

I love Alba's image of trying to find a Bible. As I have now come to realize, my post was of the most urgent nature-- HAD to be acted on IMMEDIATELY!!! Gee, I thought that a grown woman-- and a smart one-- could certainly use the Internet to find anything she's curious about?!?!?!? There are quite a number of online Bibles with great search tools. I happen to have a houseful of Bibles myself, but I usually use the online ones when I want a reference. I'd have built a link if I had had more time when I posted that-- if I had not been rushing out the door to a really tough funeral.

And hm, could my tone actually have been encouragement to Azizi, to go see for herself? (People who actually know me, I would bet, can hear my post just like that.) But naw, of course not, I'm big ole bad WYS, we gotta protect poor lil Azizi from bad old me! (Kat is, after all, a mindreader who can never be wrong-- or prejudiced!) And then after firing a few shots, sniff in a superior fashion and claim to be "done" discussing it. Well, Lah dee DAH! I guess some folks call that "manners" when they veil their crap in a plastic bag.

Well, hot news! Azizi has posted about her church background many, many times. If she uses that background as a basis for her posts about religious music and African American culture, would I be totally crazy to think-- gasp-- she probably knows a bit of Bible?????   Does that mean I assume she's a practicing Christian NOW? No! But I do believe she was probably listening when she DID attend church-- I frequently make that mistaken assumption, it kinda goes with the life I live, SO SUE ME for having a frame of reference that takes people at the face value they present!

But whatever-- what I am really curious about is this-- what on earth gives Kat the responsibility to pass judgment on my posts? And what makes her think Azizi needs a bodyguard at Mudcat?!?!? Does Kat feel that Azizi cannot speak for herself?

Cuz I was under the impression that Azizi is fully empowered to conduct her own conversations...

And a happy Sunday morning to you all! I gotta run-- I have TWO churches to bamboozle today, PLUS a picnic to play for!
