It's always difficult to lose a loved one & a family member. Our critters are both. I still miss my little "Sis" whose little heart just gave out on her after 20 1/2 years. She's been gone for a year & a half. The hurt isn't as sharp now, and sometimes I go for days without thinking of her. They are with us for a little while, listening, comforting, loving. Then they go to their well deserved rest.
