How shall I reach to hold muse near
When I this distance stay?
What might I do, to vision clear
Of one for whom I pray?

Should I my dreams enjoy, or find
The way to nearer be?
Should I allow desires to blind
All reason, to muse see?

Sweet angel muse, will you not share
The reasons that you smile?
Might I run fingers through your hair,
And longings reconcile?

I will accept all muse might give,
To feelings turn to ink.
I wish only that dreams could live,
And muse of me would think.

I ask that muse would share her soul,
That I might know her heart.
I seek her happiness, as goal,
But hope I might play part.

The hope for future gives me all
That I dare dream desire:
The love of one that to dreams call,
With eyes of dryad's fire.
