Thread Name: Origins: Seven Daffodils / Seven Golden Daffodils
Subject: RE: Seven Golden Daffodils - info please!
The title is actually SEVEN DAFFODILS, although a few recordings have been made under the title SEVEN GOLDEN DAFFODILS. It was written by Lee Hays and Fran Moseley. There aren't any recordings listed on allmusic that credit anyone else as songwriter (if you allow for misspellings—some sources use the misspellings Hayes, Fred, Mosley, or Megelay). The BMI Repertoire has the odd spelling DAFFODILLS.

There have been recordings by Kenny Ball and His Jazzmen, The Blueground Undergrass, The Brandywine Singers, The Brothers Four, Tom Chapin, Lonnie Donegan, Good Medicine, Nobuyoshi Ino, The Lords, The Mojos, Nina & Frederik, Jimmie F. Rodgers, The Seldom Scene, The Shaw Brothers, Alice Stuart, and The Tarriers.
