Thread Name: TECH: Re-Filling Printer Ink Cartridges
Subject: RE: HELP: Re-Filling Printer Ink Cartridges
I've had success refilling cartridges for an Epson Stylus Color (read "Ink Hog") 740, which has 3 colours in one cartridge, and black in another. Refilling is one way of getting around the "one colour runs out before the others" problem, all right. As mentioned above, the first refills are the messiest.

I can't claim great success, either, but that's largely due to leaving the cartridges to dry out in the printer for a year or so between uses - can't blame the new ink for clogged nozzles after that!

The colours of Island Inkjet ink seem quite stable in photos I printed several years ago. They also have great service: a tollfree number, and responsive email people, who will troubleshoot or talk you through your first refill experiences. The price is low enough so I can print without wondering about the cost. They operate throughout North America (head office on Vancouver Island).
