I agree with those who say you need to be sure of the source of the problem.

Spiders eat small insects. They don't eat people. A spider might bite you if you cornered it and frightened it, but why would many, many spiders approach you, getting under the covers, just to bite you?

If you can see spiders in your home, that means other insects are also present for them to eat. Maybe those other insects are the problem.
