Erudition comes at a price.

I have a rider (sort of) and have not had particularly good luck with it. The problem I've had though would be about the same regardless of which commonly available one I'd chosen - at least as I see it.

The manufacturer is "cheerfully cooperating" in the solution of my problem, but it has been 67 days since I last saw my mower while I await his "solution." It also took some rather extended study of the situation, and some rather drastic action to elicit said "cheerful" response.

Maybe when it's all over with I'll have some more opinion(s). I'm sure that eventually I'll be able to say that they "took care of me," one way or another.
