John in KS, the anti-blather filter idea is absolutely ludicrous. I've managed to post some messages, and Mudcat seems to go down when I'm reading, not posting. Then again, maybe the weirdware is trying to protect me from other people's blather. It could be that they oops, 'They', have written a program that detects certain words or phrases and when they reach a certain rate per 1,000 words, Mudcat shuts itself down. Maybe spam is included in the blatherbase. Maybe people who engage in compostruction or creation of vocabulatory units (words) are closely watched. Maybe Mudcat has a auto-shutdown due to heat. I tend to think auto-spam might have something to do with it. Then again, the down times pretty much coincide with the periods during which I'm awake, except when they don't. Or it could be a top secret device, inspired by Roswell ship technology and developed by Walmart, that They slipped into Max's arm implant.

Shakey, Mudcat's 'They' is a 'Him'. Its last known (to me) location was Max's basement, to where it moved from Max's kitchen table. As far as I know, he doesn't have to shut it down to do laundry even though the spin cycle tends to slow it down a bit. If Max has fired any Mudcat employees recently, we have major problems.
