Yeah - I call it the "Animal Farm Syndrome"

near the end of the book, the animals sneak a look thru the window an the pigs partying with the men, "and they looked from one to the other, and could see no difference" (paraphrased) ...

That's the problem with first past the post voting systems: the organisations keep rolling on, and there's no way to reform them by having other parties grow up and replace them, forcing the now obsolete parties to either expire or work on genuine reform.
