In Alaska we elect some strange ducks. It would be interesting to see a study on just why. We hold on to them for years too: Ted Stevens and Frank Murkowski as senators and Don Young as Representative. (Since then we have elected Murkowski as Governor; he then turned around and installed his daughter Lisa Murkowski in his Senate seat).

Don Young, however, recently gets cut a little slack: He voted FOR ending the Patriot Act!
