Can I ask what you did for work when you lived in/near Lincoln City? I've been dreaming about moving to the coast - anywhere between Waldport and Netarts will do - but there seems to be limited opportunities to make a living unless one takes on the risk of a tourist dependant business. I think my dream job would be either with Rogue Brewery (love the Shakespeare Stout!) or with the Central Oregon Coast Vistor and Convention Bureau. I'm not a sales person in the traditional sense, but I'd love to spend my time showing people how wonderful the coast is - and how much history, art, cultural events etc. there are in that part of my home state. I already have my dream house built in my mind. Now all I need is the perfect piece of land, and the money to buy it! LOL
How long have you been living in Juneau? I don't know if I could take the long hours of winter. Is it really cloudy and rainy up there, like Seattle or Portland, or is it just cold and only overcast when it's snowing?
