Amos, you've been living in California too long, here where everybody seems to have a made-up name. My Polish Rhode Island wife is off hiking this week with a couple with the first names "Belden" and "Yashi" - you can bet they weren't born with those names. In many parts of the country, Ted Drozdowski is a very noble sort of name, because the name shows he's a real person, not some new-age confection. Ted is from Boston, and he seems to be quite a writer. Apparently, he wrote for the Boston Phoenix for a long time - not that I know anything about the Phoenix.
