Alsace - try the Pinot Gris (Tokay) - off dry and floral like all Alsace wines but perfect with oily fish the creamy dishes of Alsace, foie gras or even Chinese food! Hugel is my favourite! There is also an Alsace Pinot Noir but it is too "northerly" for my taste! and don't forget the intense flavour of the "late-picked"
Foodwise there are some tradional topped thin savoury "pastries/breads" so much nicer than the ubiquitous pizza. Have you allowed for extra weight on your return flight?
