A MMario-Mudcat Shawl for Kat:>)
MMario is creating a Shawl for Kat. yipeeeee, She will be absolutely thrilled and hopefully surprised!!! Kat will be sent Home from the Hospital sometime next week, maybe Monday or Tuesday so the window for creating this Thread which I hope will be deleted by a Mudcat Pixie before Kat sees it is not too long. Don't want Kat coming into Mudcat and reading this...so...
If any of you would like to post your Wishes, Love and or Greetings here on this Thread, I will print them out and MMario will include them with the Shawl which will be sent to Kat via her Daughter, Rue. who shall present MMario's Shawl parcel to our Kat and will take a picture of Kat opening the parcel ...how cool is that:>)...then the surprise will be complete. That should make for a Picture worth a thousand words...
We only have a few Days of Thread Life though before Kat gets Home, after that if anyone has missed the thread...never fear PM's here...just PM me and I will be only too happy to add your Greeting, Love or Wish to the others before sending the completed list off for posting to MMario.
I am sure MMario will be able to tell you all about the Shawl he is planning on creating much better than I ever could so I shall leave that part to himself...the **STAR** that he is..:>) I will tell you it will be of Alpaca in the most beautiful Green and Purple yarn. I tried to add the picture but.....MMario help me...:>)
MMario has donated his time and skill and Yarn to this Shawl for Kat.WHAT A GUY.... I had asked what I could do to contribute and MMario being MMario suggested a donation to the 'Mudcat ' or to the ' DT ' via dick Greenhaus, or to the scholarship fund for the 'FSGW Getaway' (those funds can be funneled through Charlie Baum) I will be doing this and making my donation in Kat's name.. If anyone else would like to contribute that would be....well ...FANTASTIC:>)
So join me in this "The MMario- Mudcat Shawl for Kat thread" I hope I have explained this well enough. If I could have sang about it to you all I would have done much better....Typing has never been my Forte.... Some might say Singing isn't either.....but not to my face as yet...lol

The word is that kat likes to wear purples and greens - so grape hyacinth has been selected and ordered for yarn. This is 70% alpaca, 30% silk - kat is allergic to wool.

Kat--I wanted to make a poem, but it doesn't work out. Maybe allow me a bit of license?
I remember Cheyenne like it was yesterday, Football game in the other room, While the Mudcatters played.
Sorcha, Rex and the rest, Bert. Plastic flower seeds. Rog, what a delight to meet him.
A strange bar, in a strange town, together. Do you remember that they asked us to come back? In spite of the football game?
What fine music we made, It was the longest, (and best), Trip I have made in a decade.
My 14 year old daughter, Katherine, Is active in local theatre, (two plays, good parts), Learning guitar and piano, Always reminds me of you.
She's also adopted the name of "Kat".

thanks for all your thoughts - I'll print this out just before it's taken down so i can give Mom a copy to keep with the shawl. She will be thrilled with it. She has wanted a shawl from MMario for a long time. She will love wrapping herself (along with cat or baby)in it. She will always think of you all when she has it on & good thought like that will be so important over the nexted several months. So thanks again for all the long distance support it helps a lot.

Point out to Kat that less extreme measures have landed people shawls--this heart surgery stuff is overkill. Impressive, but still, overkill. :)
Take care Kat, and keep moving like your doctors and nurses tell you. That's the only way you're gonna get home to get this shawl!

Kat, I am adding my Thoughts to this Thread.
May you look back on your Surgery as one of the best choices you ever made. Marrying Rog and having your Children of course was a really good one too!:>) One of the best choices I made was finding and joining the Mudcat because that choice led me to a Friend like to you. Your illness have shown me many things, among those things is just how many other wonderful People are on the Muddy Kitty. (I felt I knew before but now I am very sure this is a very special group of People:>)
MMario's Shawl is all the Love that is felt for You Kat ma Dear. That Love is poured through MMario's generous and artistic Hands via his Heart and then it turns into the Shawl you are now holding. My love and Blessings are one small strand of your MMario Shawl. The other strands are the other Mudders...awesome.
