I saw the last finish like that one twenty-odd years ago when Allan Border and Jeff Thomson nearly pulled off an equally unlikely victory at the MCG, and lost by three (again when the fast bowler was caught). There were 20,000 people at the MCG for a day that could have lasted just one ball and went for over an hour.
