I remember learning a very simple 'cockles and mussles... alive alive-oh' song about Molly Malone about the time I learned to talk!!! It basically tells of her selling cockles and mussles 'up the streets broad and narrow' and then dies of a fever. Having recently read an article about Molly Malone being a bit of a good-time-girl, so to speak, I wondered what versions everyone else sang, and if there are any other songs/stories about her?
