Thread Name: Lyr Req: Molly Malone
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Molly Malone
I swaer I'm not hallucinating, but I recall a fragment of a song heard on the radio in the late 1940s. It was sung in an imitation Japanese accent and all I can recall is the tune (which was 'Molly Malone') and bits of words:
'Twas in Yokohama,
I met this hot nana,
She sold radishes, octopus, rice and dried squid,
This cute little cookie,
Whose name was Suzuki,
She sold radishes, octopus, rice and dried squid.
Now who on earth wrote and recorded that and doers anyone know all the words?
