We also know that people manage, with care and love, to survive beyond what may seem to them or to others their time to die, and even those whose death cannot be postponed can enjoy a gentler passage if surrounded by love. You, however, remind me of the citizens of Paris who cheered and jeered as the condemned rode the tumbrils to the guillotine: For someone who claims to be a Christian you are sadly lacking in compassion--from you I hear the clanging cymbal of St. Paul's description of one endowed with faith and hope, but lacking in charity. Please take your Mme. Defarge act onto another stage--and never NEVER think that I share your desire to heap pain upon pain.
