I don't consider you claiming that the use of the words "black" and "dark" to be inherently racist in the context in which I used them, to be quibbling at all. I consider it as ludicrous as the suggestion that Jews own the word "holocaust".

You might be interested to know that in Irish Gaelic, dark skinned people are referred to not as black people, but blue people.

Preconceived notions, and all that. You might also be shocked to know there are European sub-continent Indian immigrants who have now been resident in Africa for generations, who consider themselves to be "of African descent", and that there is no such thing as African Americans in England.
