We've got an old "suitcase" type phonograph player to which my Rog has a cable attached, which also leads into the PC.

He says, if you have just a turn-table you will have to use a pre-amp with an RIAA equalisation. If it's a player like ours with a speaker system, either use the earphone jack or plug into the speaker with the right cable to hook up to your hard-drive. Play them onto the hard drive, then burn them to CD. When I did this with some 78's and also reel-to-reel tapes, I used the "Audacity" progam, recommended by other Mudcatters and free online.
