This doesn't have to be so complicated, folks. If you have a turntable
and an amplifier or receiver, your speakers connect in the back. Just go to radio shack and get a stereo mini-plug(it has an extra band between the tip and the hilt.) Make yourself a connector wire with the bare wires on one end and the mini-plug on the other. Then, if you have a cd drive in your computer that writes, and the software that goes with it, just connect the bare wires to the speaker output on your amp or receiver and the mini-plug into your sound card in back of your computer. Look at the software, it will tell you how to record. You're also all set up to record from your casette or your
radio by switching your selector.
