Putting Ottawa on our itinery is definitely looking good. As the visit is in part to see whether we would like the country it makes more sense to meet real people rather than stick to tourist routes. Travelling further North also means we can avoid the 401 we keep hearing about, although living where we do so close to the M62, reputedly the busiest motorway in Europe, we are used to heavy traffic but would still rather avoid it.
Where we end up living would depend very much on work. I have already looked at the info on the Ontario Teachers college site and it seems to suggest that my qualifications will be accepted over there and then I have to pass a test within 12 months of starting teaching there.
