The tschotskes (sp?) are pretty much a one-time effort, but we'll be moving fabric for the foreseeable future. Peggy's been collecting and hoarding this stuff for twenty years, as long as she has been in the business of producing custom-made slipcovers, throw pillows, drapes, etc.
We have many more little one-to-two yard bits, each with one or two repeats of some noteworthy pattern, but we also have lots of larger pieces, even some nice big heavy bolts.
I haven't taken much interest in EBay yet, largely because I am most emphatically not a "collector" and do not care a bit about buying much of anything, certainly not anything classified as a "collectable." I'm not even interested in owning the kinds of things I most care about ~ I'm a voracious reader, but I have no desire to own any books, preferring to use the library; I'd rather listen to the radio than buy (and be obligated to organize) CDs; and I don't even have the slightest interest in owning more than one guitar.
However, it occurred to me over the weekend, while shooting close-up digital pictures of a few little gewgaws, that I just might get into selling this kind of crap, and doing well at it. My very lack of personal interest in the merchandise might work to my advantage as a trader of marginally worthless but charming/interesting bits of flotsam and jetsam.
