Besides the Southern Journey CD and the Bessie Jones material cited above, there are more Lomax recordings on CD as part of the Sounds Of The South 4 CD boxed set (Atlantic 7 82496-2). On LP and tape, (and maybe CD, as Vanguard has reconfigured a lot of thier stuff for reissue-sometimes more than once) check out some of the Vanguard Newport Folk Festival recordings. On LP, specifically, "The Evening Concerts At Newport-Vol.1" (1963) & "Traditional Music At Newport, 1964-Part 2"

Before the Southern Journey series was issued on CD, some of the Lomax recordings were on LP on New world Records (NW 278) "Georgia Sea Island Songs"

I picked up a self-issued cassette of the current version of the Georgia Sea Island Singers, "I'm On My Way" at a library sale with spoken intros to some songs o give historical background and the contact address for them was:

Frankie Quimby
2428 Cleburne St.
Brunswick, GA 31520

...And I heard this group of them perform on one of the Folkmasters At Wolf Trap syndicated radio shows a few years ago. Some material from those shows has been issues on Smithsonian Folkways since then, so I'd check the Folkways catalog. I have it on tape from the radio.

I believe Rounder has a Bessie Jones compilation out on CD.

Hope this helps!
