Bokonon--or Bokhanin (I'd have to look it up)--is a character in Kurt Vonnegut's greatest novel, "Cat's Cradle," who founds a religion on a Caribbean island on which a fellow shipwreck survivor establishes a dictatorship. Bok--(whatever) delivered his messages in calypso form: the first and most important article of faith: "All religions are false, including this one." Another message: "Never turn down an invitation. Invitations are dancing lessons from God." Read the book, find out about karasses and granfaloons--and Ice-nine. You might categorize Vonnegut at this time at least as Ray Bradbury with a sense of humor.--seed
