3 stooges were ~obviously~ unreal - I remember wondering mainly how they managed to do the various stunts without getting hurt. I do think the trend for "realism" in video games, etc is detrimental to kids being able to distinguish between reality and fantasy ; so also is the fact that they spend far MORE time immersed in it then even the most TV addicted kids did in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and even the 80's.
