Gainesborough Farm (Route 60 West - past Versailles on the road to Frankfort) is owned by the Royals of Dubai.   I think it's become part of the broader Darley empire.

The farm got plenty of attention last year when a colt named "Smarty Jones" ran undefeated thru the Kentucky Derby and The Preakness Stakes, only to be beaten late in the cruel 12 furlongs of The Belmont.   Smarty's sire, "Elusive Quality" is a Gainesborough stallion.

They also stand "Shadeed" and "Quiet American" in their complex. It's like a garden. It's like a fortress.
