Cool Beans has the best advice yet. I, too, am in the process of creating a CD, and the songs I am recording are ones that I am passionate about, whether from long ago, or newly found ones. Try to get your friends who play other instruments to back you up. The fuller the sound, the better. But now that I've just said that, one of the songs I am recording, I am recording with my voice only!
