A third section (title to be decided "Definitely Not BS" or "Serious Music Discussion") in which Guests cannot start threads.

Yes, I know we've been over this ground, and much informative work is done in response to Guest queries. Restricting Guests to only initiating threads in the General (currently 'above the line') or BS, threads would leave a new section (strongly moderated!) for serious discussion.

Any query posted by a Guest in the general section would probably continue to be answered in time-honoured fashion. But it would take a member to post a link to it in the new 'reserved' section, or to 'sponsor' the thread & PM Joe or a 'Clone' with a request that the whole thread be 'promoted'

Just as one can screen out the BS threads, the new 'Upper' list could be screened with a refresh rate of five days or whatever.
