A local fiddler switched from playing right handed to left handed after some problem with his left arm. Once he swapped the bridge and sound post around he had few problems, except for training his right hand to do the fingering.   He knew what was required, but his right hand wasn't skilled with fretting at the start. Since then he has bought a real left haded violin and continues to play left handed. Since he teaches fiddle, this is a bit of a blessing as his students can watch him play and immitate what he is doing, without having to reverse things in their heads.
