It seems possibly Leo Kottke (who I first heard on a guitar sampler along with Peter Lang and the late great John Fahey) can now join the possibly select list of musicians whose death has been prematurely announced. The only other one I know of is the British fiddle-laying folk musician Dave Swarbrick of Fairport Convention whose death was erroneously announced in the Daily Telegraph some years back, but who I assume is still alive (I think though he was in hospital some months back).

Does anyone know of any other (reasonably well-known) musicians whose deaths were erroneously reported (in the USA, UK or elsewhere)? If so, is it worth starting a thread on this subject?
