The aspect of this story that I find amusing, or perhaps troubling, is that so many people try to deny that that this person is a "christian". He is a "christian." He says he is. The right wing christians say that he is a christian.

His entire professional life has been based on being a "christian."

So he says something that appears to be politically inapproriate. He is still a christian. And I actually respect him more, because he's not double speaking. He's said this kind of thing before. I expect he'll say this kind of thing again.

You can't deny it. He is a christian. And he speaks for many millions of christians out there.
