I got sent a SORN plus stroppy letter re: a car I had traded in at a reputable dealer (with whom I've dealt for going on 20 years). He HAD done all the paperwork and said that the DVLA was completely screwed up on this new system and he'd deal with it. He did. I've had nothing else from them. It's worth challenging them on some things.
