In Warwickshire, they refuse to send you the photo. If you insist, you must plead not guilty and they will present the photo as evidence in court. Bear in mind that the court has the right to increase the fine and number of points if you are found guilty.

However, my better half and I may have found a loophole. Our car is in joint names. If we are both in the car and happened to change drivers during the journey....

Basically, driving offences can only result in the conviction of one individual - two people cannot be guilty of the offence. We were following another friend and both cars were flashed by the same camera. They got a ticket, we didn't. Or maybe we braked a fraction earlier and were under the threshold speed.

On the main theme, yes, the Government are out to fleece soft targets for every penny they can get and some fools just gave them that mandate for another four years!
