Bad guess, Guest. If you think rape is sex, and castration makes rapists (I think you said "men", actually) safer to be around, you need to think again.
For the record, I'm not against castrating rapists as a punishment. (I'm quite medieval on that score). I just don't fool myself into thinking it's a solution (though it might serve as a deterrent -- which is far better IMO -- but I would bet on that either). If I had my way, they wouldn't be allowed back into society where they could hurt anyone else in any way. A bullet in the head might be a better alternative.
