The thing that annoys me about the speed camera system is that it only notices one form of potentially dangerous driving, and does so without flexibility.
You can speed past a juniors school at 3pm, when there is a large number of small children about, or 3am when hopefully thre are rather less and recieve the same penalty, whilst you can drive past at 3 pm, just under the speed limit, phoning someone, using a map, eating, trying to control you own kids, and otherwise not looking at the road and the camera won't do any good.

Abolish virtually all of the camera's, and actually have the police look for real dangerous driving, and enforce it with discresion and common sense.
