My apologies if you have seen all this before, but I wanted to send out a reminder to all those who might be interested in my forthcoming gigs in the UK. This time, I will not be attempting to drive into London. We have no gigs there or anywhere north of Hertfordshire. We hope to correct this on a subsequent visit. I do not know London well enough to drive safely there and I would only be a danger to myself (and other drivers). I must drive, as I am bringing a PA.
The nearest gigs to London are at St.Albans on the 25th of September and in Silsoe, on the previous evening. Some of you come from the Pompey area, so you might be able to make it to the RMA Tavern gig in Eastney on Friday, 23rd.
We will be playing in Maidstone on September, 26th, probably at The Pilot. That has to be confirmed though. Please check my website, www.alan.free-pop.com , or the man himself, Don T, if you are interested.
I will be playing with Markus Apitius, who produced both of my albums Small Voice Crying and Travellers' Tales. He sings like an angel (which no one has ever accused me of doing!) and plays guitar, bass and piano well. It should be a fun evening.
We will not leave Germany until September 15, so there is time to get back to me, if you have any questions. I can say that there will be a private gig in Cornwall on Saturday, September 17. You will need to contact me personally if you have not yet been invited, but you want to come.
I hope very much that some of you can come along. Bring a friend if you can. It is a long way to come just to sing to myself!
