IF you want a fabulous, heart-wrenching shantey that will stop 'em dead in their tracks (and maybe seriously p.o. some), do "The Last Leviathan" by Rory Block. It's sung from the viewpoint of the last of the great whales, who's just been hit with a harpoon.
