It's interesting that we are so similar - but even if we were widely different that would be no reason not to value that difference. (I make that point in case some Neanderthals or whatever ever turn up on this planet, or we run into space aliens who do not have any DNA in common with us.)   There are commonalities that are much more important than genetic factors.
