John - think you must have been at a different festival to myself and all the people I met!
For a start, Fylde are better than any other festival I know at encouraging young and talented artists, the "headline acts" of the future, and giving them a platform to perform.
I also think it's great that Fylde do retain a committment to their local artists, and those I saw - Strawhead, Pat and Ken, Scolds Bridle for example - all worked hard and came across really well.
