There was a nice bit on NPR this morning featurning the CEO of McILhenny's. His words were to the effect that that they got all their people out of New Orleans, and mostly down to Avery Island. He guessed they would take a hit on the HQ building in New Orleans, but didn't seem too concerned about it. He talked about making alternative shipping arrangements for theire products, from N.O. to Savanna, Houston and the west coast. The overall sense of the bit was tending first to the company's extented and expanded family, and then to business. Sort of refreshing, really, in the midst of all the emotional hyperbole most of the media seems to be engaged in.
