One for "Watchdog" or "You and Yours" or "Which", I think!
How some of these companies expect to get repeat business I don't know. When I get this sort of service I make sure everyone I know hears about it so they avoid the company.
Glad you got a result, I'd still press them for compensation for all their earlier denials & all your efforts, cost of calls etc.
