Ah Pavement Robert what a corruscating and peripatetic life you lead! May I say as a Scotsman , sleep with dogs if you must but make sure it's a sheepdog. As to your critique on the horological cacaphony which occasioned your enforced insomnia, I'm afraid that when you come visit in Scotland you will also have to sleep in a trailer as this house is like that of Lord Cutglass in Dylan Thomas's Under Milk Wood. In fact every hour the house rocks with bings bongs chimes and cuckoos, it's a good job the walls are almost 3 foot thick. Nonetheless you are more than welcome to come visit, as are all Mudcatters [no not all at once!] just bring earplugs.
