McIlhenny's have always been great, very nonarrogant commercial org. Years ago we heard about the bamboo growing on Avery Island, and asked where we could get some (a form of, p. vivax). They kindly sent us a rhizome. We lived in a sandy beach area then, and within a couple of years had a whole bamboo grove beside our house. I've never forgotten their kindness and informal friendliness. Very glad to hear Avery Island still there.
